Although it is one of the best things in the world, I don’t get to spend nearly as much time with my family as I would like to. In addition to my obligations at work, my wife is always busy juggling her part-time job and her duties as a Mom, while my kids are always busy at school, doing extracurricular activities and doing their homework. However, even though it can be a struggle to find an open slot for family time, we work really hard to do so.
Fortunately for us, one of those opportunities arose quite recently. The kids were going to have a long weekend (because they were getting Monday off for President’s Day), so I decided to take off work on Friday and Monday, and we didn’t make the kids go to school on Monday. Instead, we grabbed a rental car and headed off for San Antonio. It had been quite awhile since we had been to San Antonio as a family, but we had just as much fun on this trip to San Antonio as I remember us having on our previous vacation there!
